Dr. Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, where he graduated from high school. He completed undergraduate studies in Microbiology at the University of Michigan, and medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. After medical school he completed an internship at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He then completed a radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Michigan. Following fellowship, Dr. Kim joined Salem Radiology Consultants in July 2009.
Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa and their three boys. He has a variety of other interests including his two dogs, reading, personal fitness, following the Detroit and University of Michigan sports teams, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his family.
